He Lin is a professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and the vice dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering. He received the Ph.D. degree in thermal engineering from Zhejiang University, China in 2002. His research interests include pollutant formation mechanism in flame, engine emission control, and material synthesis in flame. Professor Lin has published over 60 peer-reviewed journal papers in the scopes of combustion and catalysis. He has received a number of awards including the New Century Excellent Talents of China in 2011, Science Star of Shanghai in 2006, and Shanghai Prize for Progress in Science & Technology in 2009. Prof. Lin is the secretary general of Aftertreatment Technology Sub-Society of China Society of Internal Combustion Engine, and the secretary general of Shanghai Society of Engineering Thermalphysics.
